Online Submission abstracts will be evaluated by the Scientific Committee. If abstract is accepted, author agrees to send full text paper, including results, tables, figures and references. All submissions should report original and previously unpublished research results no matter the type of research paper you are presenting. Full text papers (.docx and .doc) will be accepted by Electronic Submission Form. Manuscripts should meet the format set by the Conference committee and are subject to review.

Dr. Luca Serafini

Postdoctoral researcher at University of Naples Federico II and an adjunct professor at Lumsa University of Rome

Title: Covid-19, mass media and communication of science: the case of conflicts between scientists in Italy

Dr. Luca Serafini is a postdoctoral researcher at University of Naples Federico II and an adjunct professor at Lumsa University of Rome, where he teaches Sociology of New Media and Journalism. He was also a visiting researcher at Goldsmiths University of London. His research focuses on changes in the languages and practices of information in digital media. He is the author of two books and articles published in international journals such as Theory, Culture & Society, Journal of The British Society for Phenomenology, H-Ermes. Journal of Communication. Most recently, he edited and translated the Italian edition of Sinan Aral’s book The Hype Machine: How social media Disrupts Our Elections, Our Economy, and Our Health – and How We Must Adapt (Edizioni Guerini, 2021).
