Dr. Luca Serafini

Postdoctoral researcher at University of Naples Federico II and an adjunct professor at Lumsa University of Rome

Title: Covid-19, mass media and communication of science: the case of conflicts between scientists in Italy

Dr. Luca Serafini is a postdoctoral researcher at University of Naples Federico II and an adjunct professor at Lumsa University of Rome, where he teaches Sociology of New Media and Journalism. He was also a visiting researcher at Goldsmiths University of London. His research focuses on changes in the languages and practices of information in digital media. He is the author of two books and articles published in international journals such as Theory, Culture & Society, Journal of The British Society for Phenomenology, H-Ermes. Journal of Communication. Most recently, he edited and translated the Italian edition of Sinan Aral’s book The Hype Machine: How social media Disrupts Our Elections, Our Economy, and Our Health – and How We Must Adapt (Edizioni Guerini, 2021).

Prof. Abdulaziz Albrithen

Professor Abdulaziz Albrithen is from Saudi Arabia. He received his PhD in social work from the University of Liverpool in United Kingdom in 2007. He joins the United Arab Emirates University in August 2017, and serves as a coordinator of the MSW program in August 2018. He worked as an assistant professor at Umm Al-Qura University and then as an associate professor and professor at King Saud University, Saudi Arabia. He took part in writing some English books by contributing some chapters. He also published articles on social work, both Arabic and English. In 2014, he received an International Prize for his remarkable work of translating ‘The Encyclopedia of Autism Spectrum Disorders’ into the Arabic language. Dr. Albrithen’ s research interests include; social work ethics, and social work & human rights.

Dr. Ferit Baça

Dr. Ferit Baça works as a lecturer at the Department of Philosophy in the University of Tirana. He has obtained his BA from Political Sciences, MA Peace Studies and as well he has undertaken his PhD from the Department of Philosophy, University of Tirana. His professional interests and priorities are political philosophy and conflict resolution. He is the author of various books, essays, and scientific presentations that have been published in national and International forums.

Dr. Meng-Lin Chen has been teaching English and translation for more than 15 years at the Department of Translation and Interpretation Studies, Chang Jung Christian University, Tainan city, Taiwan. Her research interests include SLA studies, corpus translation studies, and translation studies for special purposes.

Dr. Ljupka Naumovska is an assistant professor and at Rennes Business School where she examines the trends and policies that help shape the ever-shifting marketing environment. She is also a program
director of the MSc Strategic and Digital Marketing Program. She is a respected educator, consultant, and life-long learner. She has spent much of her time making a difference in academia: as an assistant professor and as a visiting lecturer in Universities in Macedonia, Poland, Slovakia, Spain, France and U.S.
Her teaching focus is Digital and Integrated Marketing. Her research focus is Marketing to children:currents states and ethics. She was recently rewarded with Teaching Excellence Award by Rennes School
of Business.

Advisor to the Minister of Development. Currently she works at the University of Athens.
